INVITATION TO ATTEND

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Department of Nuclear Medicine and PET and the Cancer Therapy Centre, Liverpool hospital and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine, we, the i*FIT group would like to cordially invite you to attend the inaugural workshop on the Integration of Functional Imaging in Therapy planning.

We hope that this one day workshop proves to be a fertile ground for providing education and insight into each of these subspecialties and how these can collaborate.  The workshop will be divided into four sections.  The first session will be a concurrent session aimed at providing an understanding of each specialty.  The next session will be a plenary session which will include invited national speakers to outline their experience in integrating the two modalities.  The lunch session will include tours of the Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Oncology departments with specific emphasis on integrating the two modalities, vendor presentations and a video demonstration.  The afternoon session will be a panel discussion using real case examples to highlight the benefits, as well as challenges and controversies of this collaboration.
